The band, Emergency Service

Emergency Service is a New York City-based band with music that fuses the relaxed vibes of reggae, the consciousness of hip-hop, the rhythm and groove of funk, and the energy of the city it calls home. With upbeat and thought-provoking songs that feature memorable hooks and a positive message, Emergency Service blends a number of genres to create a brand of music all its own.

Time Out New York says Emergency Service's "reggae fused hip-hop recalls Arrested Development," and over the past three years the band has brought that musical fusion along with its explosive live show to some of the premiere venues in New York and around the Northeast, opening for a number of nationally and internationally touring acts, and playing to crowds that that love the energy and sound of songs they can’t help but sing along to.

Emergency Service has had its music featured on MTV, has played a number of festivals and benefit concerts, and has been recognized by a number of different organizations for both its music as well as its desire to give back to the community.

In 2006, Emergency Service released its first album, “This Emergency,” which was followed by an EP, “The Better Days,” in 2008. The band’s new full-length album, “Things Worth Fighting For,” was co-produced by Jim Fox (Rebelution, SOJA, Inner Circle, Groundation) and will be released March 15th, 2011.

Emergency Service continues to play frequently in NYC and around the East Coast with the goal of bringing its music and message to as many people as it can...
